Last updated June, 2022. More to come. Can I email the state with a detailed driver ed question?
Yes. Use driver.education@state.mn.us for the address. What is your price? A common question. It's splashed all over the front page. $400 for six hours. What is your payment process? Regarding teen students, I prefer to get paid at the last lesson. Cash or check to Road Master. I now accept Zelle also. I prefer to avoid Venmo because they take a chunk for themselves before I see anything. Payment policy for adult students is the same, unless you're doing a few hours here and there. In other words, if you need a white card or letter of completion, pay at the end. Otherwise it's pay as you go. NOTE for teens * I will fill out and hand over the white card after payment is made. NOTE for adults * I will fill out and hand over the Letter of Completion after payment is made, if that is needed due to four road test failures. If no letter of completion is needed, I will request payment each time we drive together. * These policies are necessitated due to past experience. Do you have openings for a new customer?
Look at the schedule calendar. Do you see enough openings for yourself in the weeks and months ahead? Yes, I am taking on new students all the time. Currently, demand is high and in general I'm booked out a month ahead. |

What stations do you recommend for road tests?
I recommend Hastings, Faribault, Arden Hills, Plymouth, and Chaska, in that order. Eagan can be tricky. If you want to take your road test there, let me know and I'll give you some tips.

What is the latest on the Minnesota road test exam situation?
Trying to schedule a road test in the metro right now can be tough. My suggestion for metro students is to look frequently at the test station's schedule. Openings will pop up; you must be patient. If you're open to testing at a station outside the metro, it can be easier to claim a test date.

What's your work area?
My home base and normal sphere of operation is the southeast metro, south of the river. I sometimes take students into downtown St. Paul but I no longer go to Minneapolis. Email me if you live in Minneapolis and we'll work something out. My usual training areas include Eagan, Rosemount, Inver Grove Heights, Burnsville, Lakeville, Farmington, Hastings/Prescott, and Prior Lake. I get to Northfield fairly often with students, and once in a blue moon, even Faribault.
