BMW X6 Performance
You’ll encounter a unique engine at each 2022 BMW X6 price point. The xDrive40i model comes standard with a turbocharged inline-6 engine that delivers 335 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque—more than enough power for memorable jaunts through Los Angeles and Westlake Village. xDrive All-Wheel Drive comes standard for superior control in all conditions.
Both the X6 M50i and the X6 M come equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 engine, but output differs depending on the model you select. The more accessible of the two models churns out 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, while the high-end X6 M delivers 600 hp (and a 3.8-second 0–60 time)!
BMW X6 Interior
Even as standard, the 2022 BMW X6 interior leaves very little to be desired. That’s because the base model comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, five USB ports, a 10-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™, and even a panoramic roof. Niceties like leather upholstery and heated front seats are likewise standard across the lineup.
Where upgrades are concerned, the X6 makes it easy to get more out of every drive. With optional 16- and 20-speaker sound systems, available front seat massage and ventilation functions, and available heated rear outboard seats, you can ensure that everyone who steps foot in your vehicle will enjoy the time they spend inside the cabin.
BMW X6 Dimensions
The 2022 BMW X6 always seats up to five passengers. Those seated in the first row will have 40.4 inches of legroom, while those in the rear will have 35.7 inches of the same. Plus, 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats come standard across the lineup—and that means you can always strike the right balance between cargo and passenger space when you’re out and about in Thousand Oaks or Malibu. With all rear seats upright, the X6 has 27.4 cubic feet for cargo. Fold them flat, and you’ll be able to access up to 59.6 cubic feet instead!
If you’d like to seat more passengers or carry more cargo, it’s worth it to take a closer look at the 2022 BMW X5, which offers optional seating for up to seven.
BMW X6 Safety Features
The 2022 BMW X6 has not been tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but drivers should note that the IIHS named the X5—the X6 coupe’s sister vehicle—as one of the year’s Top Safety Picks.
The X6 comes standard with features that set it apart from most rivals, including standard equipment such as blind spot monitoring, automatic forward emergency braking, front/rear parking sensors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
