In addition to head-turning style, the 2023 Charger offers a ride like none other. With high performance remaining high priority, the Charger’s diverse powertrain line-up includes an option to suit every lifestyle.
Note that engine and powertrain options vary based on trim levels. Only SXT and GT variants come equipped with a V6 engine, while remaining trims (R/T, Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat Widebody) are powered by a V8. These two lower trims are also the only available with all-wheel drive. All trims, however, pair their engine with Dodge’s TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission to ensure a smooth ride even at higher speeds.

While the 2023 model year will be the last for gas-powered Chargers, the future is fuel-free for this performance car. Calling it “the future of electrified muscle,” Dodge revealed the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept last summer – much to eco-friendly drivers’ delight!
Available at several different power levels, this all-electric model will be designed with an 800-volt electric architecture model namedBanshee – one that Dodge claims will be even speedier than the Hellcat! And to remain true to its roots, the Charger Daytona will emit a low grumble reminiscent of high-voltage electrical gear.
