- Sow from late winter onwards either indoors or heated undercover

- Optimum temperature: 18-21°C
- Transplant into 7cm pots when large enough to handle and grow on in cooler conditions
- Acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after all danger of frost has passed
- Location: Full sun in good moisture retentive soil
