Jeep Brand Announces Gecko Paint Color And Factory JPP Gorilla Glass Windshield

Jeep has revealed a new exterior color is being added to the color palette of the iconic Jeep brand. The new color will be offered for both the 2021 Jeep Wranglers and the 2021 Jeep Gladiator pickup. The eye-catching Gecko exterior paint color stands out completely and is now added to the 2021 options that can be ordered until early October 2021. Two other special-run colors were released for 2021 including Chief Blue and Nacho. In addition to the new color Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) is now offering an available tough Gorilla Glass windshield to both the 2021 Gladiator and 2021 Wrangler.
“Customization is at the core of both Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator, and new colors and equipment allow the customer customization journey to begin at the factory,” said Jim Morrison, Vice President, Jeep Brand North America. “Bold colors like Gecko green give our customers the chance to stand out on the trails, while the tough Gorilla Glass windshield will help them bring their Jeep home unscathed.”
The Gecko green exterior paint option is available for a limited time on all Gladiator and Wrangler models with an MSRP of $245. The JPP Gorilla Glass windshield will be a factory-installed windshield with corning Gorilla Glass, with an MSRP of $95. The windshield will be available on the Sport S, Sahara, Overland (Gladiator), Rubicon, and Mojave(Gladiator) trims. The windshield uses the same chemical-strengthening technology as cell phone screens use. The Combination of an ultra-thin Gorilla Glass inner ply with a 52% thicker outer play makes the windshield lightweight and durable. The glass will be up to three times more resistant to chips, cracks, and fractures from stones and off-road debris that the hardcore Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler owners are used to encountering.
The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has impressive 375 horsepower and 0-60 mph in just 6.0 seconds, 470 pound-feet of instant torque for heart-pounding performance both off-road and on-road. The most advanced Wrangler powertrain combines a high-tech, 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack, and TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. Torque from the electric motors in the Wrangler 4xe is produced immediately on demand by the driver. The powertrain also delivers fuel-saving, seamless, stop-start operation of the engine.
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is outstanding when it comes to utility, intuitive technology, and legendary capability. The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is offered in eight different trims and even has an optional Sunrider Flip Top that’s also available on the Jeep Wrangler. Under the hood of the Gladiator is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine capable of producing 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Maximizing efficiency with EngineStop-Start Technology which automatically shuts down the engine when the vehicle is at rest and then starts up again when the driver releases the brake pedal or engages the accelerator.
