We were proud to represent the sale of this very nice,1928 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan showing older restoration and coming from long term ownership of 22 years! This vintage Ford displays a very unique color combination and is a fantastic driver. This particular example was also stored in a climate-controlled Ford dealership showroom when not in use. Excellent period accessories, recently serviced and ready to enjoy!
First introduced to the market in December 1927, the newly redesigned Model A was soon to be one of the best selling cars in the world! Nearly two million Model A vehicles were sold in several body variations by July of 1928! A huge feat accomplished by Henry Ford, and a testament to an automobile that will remain iconic forever!
We are very pleased to have offered for sale a 1928 Ford Model A 55A Tudor Sedan finished in Valley Green body/ Rock Moss Green beltline & window reveals with the interior finished in a very complimenting Green wool broadcloth. Power comes from the faithful 200.5ci inline 4 cylinder engine producing 40 horsepower through a 3-speed manual transmission, along with 4-wheel mechanical drum brakes for confident stopping power. Features include tilt-out front windshield, windshield visor, laminated side glass, polished Ford door step plates, single rear-mounted spare tire, 21 wire wheels accented in Straw Yellow, chrome hubcaps, vacuum-operated windshield wiper, Ford Motometer radiator cap, correct Ford Two lite headlamps, rear Duo light STOP lamp, beveled interior rearview mirror, and driver side outside mirror. This delightful example comes from a long-time Ford collector where it was most recently stored largely for display purposes at a Ford dealership showroom. It shows 99,862 miles on the odometer today which we assume is accurate from new. It was part of the same collection for the last 22 years! We recently replaced the water pump for a modern leak-less version, new coolant hoses & clamps, replaced the engine oil, replaced the spark plugs, installed a new battery, and drained the fuel tank to allow for fresh gasoline, and quickly found the running gear to be in superb condition with just some minor tuning! The nearly new looking Firestone Gum-dipped tires measuring 4.50-4.75 x 21 display how nicely this car has been maintained and barely used over the years. The engine is very nicely detailed under the hood still possessing the original splash pans, chromed distributor heat shield, along with an added air filter assembly for the model XF carburetor. The overall exterior paint & chrome show very well with very little visible wear. It would make for an ideal driver, parade vehicle, and weekend car to play with among fellow Model A enthusiasts!
