From Mike :

Here are some pics of my '50 Chevy 1/2-ton for your gallery. I purchased this truck in February 2006 from a guy in Oklahoma. It is in original condition, except for '52/'53 doors.

Since the truck has not run in about 30 years, I plan on a "cab on" restoration. The original paint color of Armour Yellow will change to Sun Beige -- another stock color for 1950.

There are the usual rust issues but nothing too bad.

The first time my wife saw the truck, me and a good friend had just returned from Oklahoma, and she was outside with the dogs. The first words she said were "I hate to admit it, but I like it!" She has now named the truck, the "Oklahoma Bomber."

I have begun buying some need parts. As of this day, I have the back fenders off and am in the process of restoring the bed. I hope to move on to the cab work this fall.

The anticipated completion date is December 2008. Looks like my dog, Shasta is ready to go for a ride now!!

Thanks to all on The Stovebolt Page, one of my favorite sites, very helpful folks indeed!! The tips and recommendations, web links have been of great help!
