SHAKER HOOD, 440CI SIX-PACK, PISTOL GRIP 4-SPEED MANUAL, TRIPLE RED, MOPAR!

If your tastes run towards muscle that looks good and can actually handle, then you can't overlook the Challenger convertible. Dodge's legendary entry into the muscle car game punctuated with a top that goes down, capable of ferocious speeds, both on the straights and in the twisties. This stunning Bright Red 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Tribute Convertible hits all the high notes, including a big-block 440 V8 with a highly sought-after Six Pack induction, a quick-shifting 4-speed gearbox, and a slick restoration that's turned this Mopar into a bonafide boulevard bully.

A high-visibility car like this means you have some pretty serious hardware underneath, because there's no way you're going to sneak around unnoticed in this one. Complete with the aggressive, blacked-out hood scoop with dual snorkels, double chin spoilers, rear exhaust with dual chrome tips on each side, and a wicked 'Bumble Bee' rear R/T stripe, there's little doubt that this looks the part of a race car. Beautifully finished several years ago to a very high standard with exceptional attention to detail, this Challenger certainly looks fast even when it's sitting still. There was obviously a great deal of money invested in ... Please ask for the full description.

There was obviously a great deal of money invested in the restoration of this car and it shows everywhere you look, from the laser-straight bodywork to the deep finish on the top-end driver quality Bright Red paint. A 'correct' black R/T stripe was applied (painted and the cleared over) out back, along with the requisite '440 Six Pack' badges on the Shaker hood scoop and R/T badges fore and aft, just in case the sizzling bright red paint and snorkels on the hood weren't enough advertising that this car was built to collect pink slips. Other correct details include the big gas cap on the rear quarter, sport mirrors, and R/T badges on the front fenders. Sure, it's a tribute, but layman or expert will struggle to tell the difference from the genuine article. Chrome bumpers have been expertly refinished to add bling and the catfish-style grille up front always suggest a lot of horsepower living underneath, and this car doesn't disappoint in that regard, either.

The red bucket seat interior is the right choice with a Bright Red exterior, giving it a purposeful, high-impact look that seems appropriate given the car's racetrack credentials written all over it. There's a woodgrained console surrounding the "Pistol Grip" shifter, which is arguably Mopar's greatest gift to Western civilization, and the woodgrained three-spoke steering wheel needs nothing more than a pair of string-back driving gloves to complete the look. A 4-speed gearbox is the only transmission deserving of an R/T badge (whether it's original or not), and the freedom to bang through those gears and hear that big block hum is a symphony to the ears of anyone with a pulse. The big speedometer is to the left, followed by a tachometer, all-in-one, and clock, and all those Rallye Instruments are inside big round pods that look very cool inside the woodgrained dash. The original AM/FM radio is still fully functional and there's almost nothing inside this car that doesn't look almost new, thanks to a very few miles logged on the droptop since it was restored. And speaking of the convertible top, it too is red to match the exterior/interior, and by how clean it is, we'd be shocked if it's ever seen rain. Even the trunk is shockingly clean, housing a reproduction mat and spare tire and jack set that completes the look perfectly.

A feisty 440 V8 big block lives under the hood (this car was born with a 383/4-speed drivetrain), augmented by a trio of 2-barrel carburetors affectionately known as the legendary "Six Pack." It's fully rebuilt and highly detailed for show, from the Hemi Orange paint to the correct Shaker air cleaner assembly up top that proudly advertises the induction system underneath, to the factory-style intake that was painted to match. Power steering and power front disc brakes are great options, and a set of long-tube headers feed an H-pipe dual exhaust system with dual chromed tips under the rear bumper, one of the R/T's defining features. It sounds AWESOME. The super-solid chassis is spectacular with neatly painted floors, immaculately detailed chassis components, a newer gas tank, and the perfect factory stance. It sits on a set of classic Rallye wheels wearing staggered 235/60/15 front and 275/60/15 redline radials; appropriate because the R/T was one of the first production cars to offer staggered tires from the factory.

Documented with a host of build receipts, restoration photos, and original manuals, this is one beautifully, nut-and-bolt restored Mopar. Dialed-in and ready to show or go, this is the Challenger R/T Tribute you've been dreaming off. Time to make that a reality. Call today!
