400 V8, AUTO, FACTORY A/C CAR, PS, PB W/ FRT DISC, FACTORY COLORS, GREAT CRUISER

There are few real-deal 1970 Pontiac GTO convertibles out there - less than 3,800 were produced that year. So when you're looking at one that has an unbeatable color combo, sold V8 power, and some nice extras, this rare drop-op is your ideal cruiser.

Baja Gold is a great period-correct color and it is in fact this car's original shade, Resprayed in 2016, the result is a convertible that looks radiant in the sunshine but not so fancy that it feels like you're taking precious metal out onto the streets. That means this muscle car is also a driver's car. We like the idea of that because the GTO was built on the idea of the kind of car that was built for enjoyment. And it makes a powerful statement with details like the dual hood scoops, Rally II wheels, and quad exhaust tips. Plus, black looks terrific against gold. So we love the look of the roof when it's in place.

If you like the way this looks with the roof in place, then with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal a full black interior. So you get the well-done color combo with the top up or down. The inside follows the theme of the outside where it knows how to be stylish, and that being driver-quality means being ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

The inside follows the theme of the outside where it knows how to be stylish, and that being driver-quality means being driver-ready. And because you'll want to cruise this GTO, there are nice additions like a retro-style AM/FM stereo, upgraded speakers, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) And there's a true driver's machine feel. That means bucket seats up front, a center console in-between, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a tilt column to give you a good view of the full set of round gauges. Plus, there are nice extras like the auxiliary readouts cleanly mounted in the console and the iconic hood tach.

Under the hood is a 400 cubic-inch V8. This mighty motor inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a nice tune out of the X-pipe dual exhaust. It runs with the right cruiser attitude to make this a nice total package. There are also the right cruiser features, like power steering, power brakes, front discs, stronger boxed rear arms, and sway bars front & rear. It all makes for a great all-around classic drop-top.

The sale comes complete with nice extras like a car cover and a black convertible boot. This is the rare and driver-ready drop-top GTO you've been waiting for. Don't let it slip away, call today!
