1954 Chevy 3100 Half Ton Pickup. Blue Metallic with a tan and brown interior. This 54 Chevy pickup is in exceptional fully restored condition. The body and paint are very straight and solid, and have been have been refinished to a good quality. All chrome trim is excellent as well. The pickup bed has also received a good deal of attention. The bed floor has been completely redone and the floor planks are in stunning like new condition. The interior of this 1/2 Ton is spectacular as well. The 3-man bench seat appears like new and all floor boards, kick panels, and headliner are in similar condition. Gauges are crisp and clear as well. This 54s underside is in excellent as well, and appears in truly stunning solid condition. Features for this pickup include 235.5ci six cylinder and 3 speed manual on the steering column. The Chevy Advanced Design type pickups first appeared in 1947 and included a much larger cab than had been seen in previous American pickups. Instantly, this became Chevys best selling truck to date. The first, and only, major Advanced Design styling and engineering changes occurred with the 1954 models. These models featured a pleasing one-piece windshield, and all-new grille, new parking lights and a new steering wheel and instrument panel. Engineering advancements included the new standard 235.5 cubic inch OHV six cylinder engine producing 112 horsepower and 200 ft-LB gross torque. Our 1954 Half Ton drives just as you would expect from a pickup of that era. Torque is plentiful, and visibility is excellent. The beefy leaf sprung suspension absorbs a great deal of impact, but is not overly bouncy. The gauge cluster is simple but effective, a theme throughout the pickup in general. Cranking the ignition reveals a quick start, and shifting via the 3 speed on the tree is very smooth.
