Everything from the crested seats and dials to the kick plates and steering wheel are all heavily branded with RS livery. And the way the car is screwed together comes from an era when build quality standards were ahead of today, it feels personalized. The C5 RS6 Truly an amazing car, labeled a future classic by some, adored by it's owners, and destined to be another classic collectable car from Audi. Prior to this model launch there were only two other cars to bear the Audi RS name and they were a niche within a niche, selling pathetic numbers. The RS6 was the platform for mainstream RS models being strategically marketed, and was in many ways a blueprint for future power plants in larger high-performance road cars, the engine technology was ahead of its time, a defining moment for the brand. The years have not blunted the accessible performance, it is super fast whilst maintaining total composure at any speed and supremely comfortable, even by todays standards there are few new cars that can eclipse this model as a package. The penny has been dropping in the last 18 months and the values are rising for sensible mileage examples with proper records, however that is for the right car as there is a bit of knowledge required as an ownership proposition and several boxes must be ticked pre purchase. Servicing & Bills - 12 Service Stamps Total paper spread start to finish with a complimenting full MOT history back to 2006 when first eligible. The folder is thick with bills as pictured and is hugely confidence inspiring. The original service book is now complete and are awaiting the 2nd service book being delivered by Audi dealer. 2005 9K Audi Dealer 2006 13k Audi Dealer 2006 14k Audi Dealer 2007 23k Audi Dealer 2007 27k Specialist 2008 29k Specialist 2009 30k Specialist 2010 36k Specialist 2011 42k Audi Dealer 2013 46k Audi Dealer 2014 55k Audi Dealer 2016 61k Specialist £19000 In Documented Bills Simply to much to list however the most recent work and the highlights of the main history are set out below. A compact 4.2-litre eight-cylinder twin turbo charged powerhouse that delivers a peak output of 450bhp. Zero to 62mph acceleration dispatched in 4.7 seconds, onto an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph. Performance is thrilling whether highway or winding back roads, with all wheel-drive traction and a whole raft of electronic safety measures, its effortlessly secure, a combination of big power, damp roads and an enthusiastic approach wont phase it at all. However its far from just being a one-dimensional car, it provides a comfortable and functional cockpit, fine-quality materials and upscale conveniences that make it among the most highly appointed & luxurious sports tourers for the road. Its trump card for me is its adaptability, it sounds utterly fantastic, and when the weather turns foul its has tractional qualities that are truly inspiring for a driver. Suspension The standard DRC suspension keeps failing and costs fortunes to fix, and then it will break again. As a result a popular enhancement is to replace with coilovers to give total reliability and a supreme ride. B14 Bilstein suspension has been fitted as pictured in the gallery, it gives peace of mind. Exterior Condition The original condition and new car shine set this car firmly apart from what you glance at in the traffic jam. It is detailed to the highest of standards with zero blemishes or chips worth comment. Safe to say this example will satisfy even the fussiest of tastes and is of as high a standard that any used car could ever hope to be in. The wheels are also in first class order inkeeping with the standards set elsewhere and this is very much an enthusiasts car in pampered condition. The previous owner was very much into detailing. Alloys/Tyres Thankfully this one has the correct 18" factory alloys and not the larger cast 19s that do look good though utterly ruin the feel and handling of the car. The model is very sensitive to alloy changes and equally to wrong tyre choice. Michelin Pilot Super Sports on each corner and they are as new and are the definitive tyre for the car. Summary A genuinely outstanding pampered car that looks magnificent, smooth, supercar rapid when prodded, stylish and luxurious all set to a glorious V8 soundtrack. Over the next few years however, as the number of original RS6s on the road continues to dwindle, values will start to rise - so buying a top example now could prove a good long-term investment. And when the mood takes you, and those roads are quiet, Audi's genre-defining RS6 Avant delivers a blast from the past that still has most contemporary rivals outclassed.
