Medium Metallic Blue 1989 Firebird V6

I bought this car about a year ago and have put 5,000 km on it... it's got about 343,000 kilometers on it so this is NOT a low mileage car but it's about as good as an unrestored car with coming up on 1/4 million miles gets?

I bought the car from the nephew of the original owners following their deaths. It was bought by a couple as their retirement gift, and driven from Vancouver, Canada to Las Vegas during winter for the next 25 years.

The car works great and has been pretty reliable (just dealing with the oil pressure sender). The only things I need to address are the passenger side speakers not working, and the headlight motor gears, and the only rust I've been able to find is slight bubbling on the underside of the hatch where the drain plugs fit.

(on a side note it took me a really, really long time to find this sub-forum... I almost thought you guys on here didn't want pics of new members rides!

Re: Medium Metallic Blue 1989 Firebird V6

Is there a source for the gray 4" square panels on the ends of the dashboard? My LEFT one has 2 crappy gauges (nonfunctional PSI gauge and dollar-store altimeter) screwed into them, and the passenger one looks like crap.

Were there any other options for those panels (speakers?) and if not is there a repro source?

Anyone thought about 3d printing a cupholder that replaces that panel?

They are factory a/c delete plates or maybe closeout panels.
fairly uncommon but the pt#s are in the gm parts books

Approaching a quarter of a million miles, that car looks amazing. Always liked that color. I had a '90 Formula in Maui blue.

This color reflects light in so many ways. can you give us a close up similar to this, do you have the metallic in there like this?

your firebird looks fantastic... very nice and is a great example of a third gen that has been really enjoyed as a driver but also well cared for
