Who am I?
November 1953 I was one of the first TR 2 to leave the Triumph factory in England
Coventry.
Only 145 of my siblings left the gates in front of me to happily drive their new owners across the streets of the world. In 1953 only 248 TR2s were built. Unfortunately, most of my older siblings are no longer on the streets. As far as I know, I am the seventh - oldest Triumph TR worldwide and the third - oldest in Germany.
Oh yes, I have a little "birth defect". Something like a birthmark that makes me special:
My designers meant well and led the doors over the sills. It looks great, but it has the disadvantage that my doors cannot be opened on high curbs.
That's why I am called "Longdoor" today.
