Evoque Prestige

Warm welcome to my owner’s website! This site is about me. Who am I? I’m a rare version of a Range Rover in an exquisite Havana-pearl grey-metallic colour with 19" pearl-like shadow chrome alloy wheels to match. I am called Evoque Prestige.

Description

I am a full-sized luxury 4x4 AWD 5-seat SUV (a premium sport utility vehicle with an all-wheel drivetrain). My trim levels are Prestige, SD4, LUX, and also Estate. I was made by Land Rover in Great Britain. I have a 2.2-litre 190 hp turbo-diesel engine with automatic transmission, ABS (anti-lock braking system), DSC (dynamic stability control), ETC (electronic traction control) and many other special features (my Owner’s Handbook has almost 300 pages, so it is not practical to list all my features here).

In addition to the high-spec equipment of the Prestige variant, I also come with a Luxury Pack (i.e., top-of-the-range upgrades were built in at the factory which manufactured me in the UK in 2012).

I have four very advanced and durable 19" Pirelli tyres which produce only 67 dB of road noise. The technical specification of my tyres is 235/55 R19 105V.

Amongst many other things, which my new owner is bound to appreciate very much, I come with two car keys (Range Rover Smart Keys), two steering-wheel lock keys, an original Owner’s Handbook (which will tell you all about me and how to look after me correctly, so that I am in my best shape for many, many years to come, serving you without issues), a Quick Start Guide, the ISR (International Security Register) brochure, and a Service Portfolio (all of which are presented in a beautiful leather cover).

There are no outstanding safety recalls for my make, model or variant.

  • a touch-up dual-function pen for my bodywork;
  • low mileage: 35,350 miles (56,900 km);
  • only one previous owner from new;
  • over KSh 800,000 of factory optional extras (e.g., 825-watt Meridian Audio, a high-performance high-fidelity surround sound system with a dual-channel subwoofer and 16 speakers, which provides that ‘concert hall’ experience);
  • a detailed, in-depth background check (through an expert credit reference agency in England) was done on me by my current owner prior to purchase (e.g., theft, outstanding finance, etc.);

  • in addition to my regular, annual servicing, my roadworthiness has been double-certified by both UK and Kenyan authorities:
    • a UK MOT test certificate;
    • a KEBS (Kenya Bureau of Standards) QISJ certificate;

  • prior to my having been shipped to Kenya:
    • all of my bodywork was treated with the highest quality polish to protect my paint and lacquer;
    • the geometry of my wheels in relation to my body was checked and adjusted by a specialized equipment at an official Bosch Service centre for optimal wear of my Pirelli tyres (i.e., so-called tracking);
    • my entire Nubuck leather interior was cleaned and treated with the best quality leather cleaner and conditioner;
    • my front grille was modified to withstand harsh environments;
    • my Prestige alloy wheels had four brand-new Range Rover chrome centre caps installed;
    • all four of my Pirelli tyres were emptied and then re-filled with Nitrogen gas at the appropriate pressure for my long journey by sea and for subsequent improved handling on African roads;

  • my owner will provide you with all the original receipts.

Ready for the Road

Absolutely nothing needs doing on me for the next three years or so (depending on mileage and apart from general servicing, of course, which is outlined for you in detail in the Owner’s Handbook, including tyre pressure adjustments for different ambient temperatures).

NB. Due to numerous enquiries, here’s a message from my owner to any potential buyers:

“Having spent a significant amount of time behind the wheel of this Ranger Rover (over considerable distances and across varied terrain), I can confirm that it is excellent both on-road and off-road; there is a lot of Land Rover heritage behind it after all. However, I must say that it is important to note how one drives a Range Rover off-road – all Land Rovers are designed to get you where you need to go safely, comfortably and without damaging the equipment. How does one do that?

“Well, one needs to use a totally different driving technique when going off-road and one must, of course, keep in mind the limitations of ground clearance! Being super familiar with the Evoque’s manual goes without saying, and I would also strongly advise the new owner to get a few off-roading lessons from a professional if s/he can.”

To demonstrate the outstanding off-road capability of Land Rovers and what driving off-road entails, here are a few videos:
