Documented frame off resto. A/c, ps, pb!
Body off frame restored. Has power steering and brakes. Modern a/c neatly installed. This is the one you want. Gorgeous colors, great features and from an owner that knows cars and has this one dialed in. Only 7,300 miles since finished.EXTERIOR: The 56 Victoria is such a good looking car, this one has gorgeous factory colors. California car built in San Jose. We have photo album showing the body off the frame restoration in 1993. It looks like it was just done in the last 12 months. It was stripped to a bare shell. Each side of the car is straight, there's no bubbles or cracking. Has a glossy finish. Jambs are restored, weatherstrips were replaced. All the trim is restored or replaced. The little flippers over the doors have been rebuilt. It is decked out with rocker moldings, fender skirts with stone shields, fingernail guards on the handles, dual mirrors and rear antenna. Red Thunderbird emblems on each fender let you know about the special motor under the hood. It also has optional reverse lights and the exhaust right through the bumper. The rims were painted body the color, hubcaps are mint and it even has the red crown nozzle caps. Also has radial white wall tires.
INTERIOR: The interior was completely gutted. They used Dyna mat sound deadener. Correct reproduction upholstery and door panels from ABC interior. The carpet and headliner were replaced. Turquoise seat belts front and back were installed. The dash area is completely restored- repainted, the knobs, bezels, gauges excellent. A panel below the dash was very neatly made and painted the match for the air conditioning vents and controls, looks like the factory did it. New wiring front to back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely restored. Engine is a 292 4-barrel Thunderbird Special, completely rebuilt, balanced and hardened valve seats. The valley area was milled for better oil efficiency. New parts in the motor and heads. All the components were restored. The wiring harness is new front to back. Has power steering and upgraded power brakes. The air conditioning system is installed so cleverly you dont even know it's there, I was impressed. Also upgraded from a generator to an alternator and an electric choke. Everything is painted neatly, has washer bag, Thunderbird decals.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Completely restored in the trunk. Clean metal painted white. Replaced the weatherstrip, decal and plaid mat. Matching blue rim with hubcap, red cap and the radial whitewall has never been used. Has jack assembly. Also included is has a California Car Cover, framed picture, 1956 plate and shop manual.
UNDERSIDE: Body was pulled from the frame. Pictures show the bottom stripped to bare metal. It was then painted body color. The entire chassis was rebuilt and detailed. It was oxide blasted and epoxy primed. Bushings, tie rods, balljoints were replaced. Power steering unit looks new. Brakes rebuilt, axle bearings replaced, renewed gas tank, shocks and universal joints replaced. Upgraded stainless steel dual exhaust system. Bottom of the motor is clean. Has Ford-o-matic trans and 3.23 rear end. It looks pretty good under here!
Really, this will be a good car for it's new owner. The owner was a respected collector/car lover who unfortunately passed away. He kept his cars in excellent working order. The photo album showing the before and restoration pictures will be included. Consider all the colors, features and restoration on this one when comparing to others. There is no comparison!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
