Serving Warner Robins, Macon, and Perry, GA

Crossover vehicles and SUVs are one of the most popular vehicle categories in America. Part of the reason has to do with new vehicles that get higher gas mileage and luxury features that can rival nearly any sedan or coupe. Leading the way for SUVs is the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was named a Consumers Digest Automotive Best Buy Award for its affordability, amenities, and overall performance. Two model trims that especially stand out are the 2016 Laredo and Limited. So let’s take a quick look at those model trims.

Interior

Both the Laredo and Limited have ample space for five passengers with 40.3 inches of front leg room and 58 inches of rear shoulder room. The Laredo model has cloth seats, but the Limited models come with premium leather interiors and heated seats. The Limited also has a heated steering wheel and four different interior color schemes to choose from. The Laredo E model does have 4-way power lumbar for the driver and can be upgraded to have the heated front seats like the Limited.

Performance Capabilities

When it comes to performance, the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a leg up on the competition. Both the Laredo and the Limited come standard with a capable 3.6 Liter, Pentastar V6 engine that gets 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The Limited model can be outfitted with a 3.0 Liter EcoDiesel engine that has heavy duty engine cooling and a Quadra-Drive four-wheel drive system. You can go further on a single tank with the EcoDiesel engine. Both engine configurations all well-managed by an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shifters on the steering assembly. Neither the Laredo nor the Limited are Trail-Rated for serious 4×4 adventures, but both models can tow and haul with the big boys. The Laredo has a standard towing capacity of 3500 lbs. and the Limited can be outfitted to handle a maximum towing capacity of 7,400 lbs.
