Chilly mornings, pleasant afternoons through the weekend
Tyler’s forecast
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Still cool to end the workweek, but a warming trend will kick in by the second half of the weekend. Overall, it looks great for outdoor plans. Rain holds off until at least Tuesday.
Abundant sun on your Friday. After the upper 30s and lower 40s to start, it will warm through the 60s. Highs in the mid 60s north with upper 60s to near 70 degrees elsewhere.
Mainly clear tonight. Chilly again during the overnight hours. Lows early Saturday near 40 degrees with upper 30s and lower 40s depending where you live.
Sun and some passing mid and high level clouds over the weekend. It will be nice. Chilly in the morning and nice during the afternoon. Highs near 70 degrees Saturday and in the upper 70s Sunday.
All eyes on the sky Monday for the partial solar eclipse in the afternoon. We’re expecting a partly cloudy sky here; hopefully we’ll still get a decent chance to view. Clouds may make it a little difficult in some spots at times. Don’t forget proper eyewear! Check out your eclipse headquarters for what to expect Monday.
Next week, we’ll have warmer temperatures and more clouds around. Showers will be around at times, as early as Tuesday or Wednesday. However, the best chance of rain and even storms appears to be Wednesday night and Thursday. There could be some severe weather, especially to our west. We’ll keep you posted.
