using high quality automotive acrylic lacquers that<br />
are totally compatible with manufacturer’s original<br />
paint finishes.<br />
This booklet contains the full list of car<br />
manufacturer’s colours covered by the<br />
PowerPlus Touch-Up Paint range.<br />
To precisely match your colour, use the<br />
manufacturer’s code. The colour on the cap may<br />
vary, and is indicative only. Colours in italics are<br />
close matches only and should be test sprayed on<br />
an inconspicuous area.<br />

HOW TO USE TOUCH-UP PAINTS<br />
1. Surface to be sprayed must be absolutely clean and dry. Thoroughly remove all dirt, rust, oil, grease and silicone/polish/wax residue.<br />
Sand previously painted surfaces.<br />
2. Mask adjacent areas to protect against overspray.<br />
3. Bare Metal Surfaces and Aluminium: Spray with PowerPlus Etch Primer prior to PowerPlus Primer Undercoat to ensure maximum<br />
adhesion.<br />
Scratches and minor dents: Use PowerPlus Primer Undercoat then use PowerPlus Spray Putty (Fast drying and easy<br />
sanding) to re-establish original surface level.<br />
Rust areas: Use PowerPlus Zinc Coat as an anti-rust primer that controls rust and seals the surface to protect against<br />
corrosion. (Colour coat should be applied within two hours, or left for 48 hours).<br />
Plastic surfaces: Use PowerPlus Plastic Primer prior to spraying a colour coat. Promotes adhesion to bumper bars and<br />
plastic body mouldings.<br />
4. Shake can vigorously for two minutes before use to mix paint. Shake regularly during use.<br />
5. Trial spraying on a similar surface to check colour match and spraying technique is suggested.<br />
6. Hold can approximately 20-25cm from prepared surface and spray from side to side with light even strokes. DO NOT<br />
attempt to get complete coverage in one pass. Several light coats will prevent paint sag and runs. Allow 20 minutes<br />
between each coat.<br />
Metallic Paints: Overspray with 2-3 coats of PowerPlus Top Coat Clear to improve protection.<br />
7. Allow 5-7 days for paint to harden. Wash and polish the painted area.<br />
8. After use, turn can upside down and spray until valve clears of paint. If spray-nozzle is clogged with excess paint, remove<br />
nozzle and soak in thinners for one minute.<br />
Best results are achieved on clear days 15ºC - 30ºC.
HOW TO SPRAY TOUCH-UP<br />
5 SIMPLE STEPS<br />
STEP 1<br />
Sand the area to be painted with wet sand paper.<br />
STEP 2<br />
Mask area as required. Use PowerPlus Wax and Grease Remover to clean the area before applying paint to<br />
surface.<br />
STEP 3<br />
Prime area with PowerPlus Primer.<br />
STEP 4<br />
Shake can vigorously for 2 mins. Ensure colour match by test spraying in an inconspicous area. Several light<br />
coats are required. Leave 20-30 mins between each coat.<br />
STEP 5<br />
To improve protection against UV radiation and airbourne pollutants, spray PowerPlus Clear Coat over final<br />
job. This particularly applies to most metallic, all pearlescent, mica paints and fluorescent colours.
HOW TO BRUSH TOUCH-UP<br />

STEP 1<br />
Remove brush from inside lid.<br />
STEP 2<br />
Use PowerPlus Wax and Grease Remover before applying paint to surface.<br />
STEP 3<br />
Shake can vigorously for 2 mins.<br />
Spray a small amount of paint into marked area inside cap.<br />
STEP 4<br />
Using the cap as a pallet, dip brush into paint and apply to damaged surface.<br />
Apply 2-3 coats, allowing each coat to dry.
