RM2F9NBW7–A 1940s advert for a Hillman Minx car – it appeared in British magazine in 1947. The Minx sold between 1945 and 1947 became known as the Minx Mark I (as illustrated here). This was the first Minx with a protruding boot (trunk). The Hillman Minx was a mid-sized British family car produced from 1931 to 1970. There were many versions of the Minx over that period, as well as cars badged as Humber, Singer, and Sunbeam from the Rootes Group, including the Singer Gazelle and Sunbeam Rapier – vintage nineteen-forties graphics.
